Dependable, high performance VHF with separate DSC
controller
The RT63 features rotary knobs to give fast and accurate channel
selection as well as setting of volume and squelch. All-Channel Scan and Memory
Scan, Dual Watch, Triple Watch and Channel 16 have individual push button
controls. High contrast display screens ensure that all text and symbols are
easy to read, and both the display screens and keys are backlit for night-time
operation. All the usual marine and weather channels are included as
standard.

Tough and weatherproof
With robustly engineered electronics and die cast aluminum case,
the RT63 is built to stand up to tough use. Mounted in the recommended way using
the optional flush mount kit, the front face, control panel, handsets and fist
mike of the VHF sets are sufficiently waterproof that it can be operated in the
open in all weathers.
DSC upgradable
The RT63 offers the user the flexibility of upgrading to DSC.
Used in conjunction with the DSC1400, the RT63 has the facility to send and
receive the new DSC format call-up and distress messages. If you don't require
DSC right away the RT63 will function as a conventional VHF, but nevertheless
includes all that's necessary to link up with the DSC1400 Controller whenever
you choose. The DSC1400 has a full display of DSC information as well as numeric
keypad for ease of entry of MMSI numbers, when making routine calls.
Active fistmike
The active fist mike allows the user to change channels up and
down without referring to the main radio. The outer button can be preselected to
activate a function or channel.
