Reels
Like Trinidad reels, Torium belongs to the new generation of
high-speed power reels. A full one piece aluminium frame and special adjustable
power handle with ergonomic handle knob are demanded by the power you can
create. Super Stopper system, 3 A-RB ball bearings, adjustable clicker and star
drag come as standard.
High speed spinning
for jigging, or any fishing situation where the ability to recover line in a
hurry is important, Shimano’s Torium range of overheads are ideal.
A
6.2:1 gear ratio will really bring out the best in metal jigs and lures that
require a good turn of speed to get working, while an oversize clicker mechanism
means that this reel can also be used for bait fishing if need be.
The
TOR16 holds 320 yards of 20 lbs, the TOR20 300 yards of 25 lbs,
and the TOR30 350 yards of 30 lbs, so they’re no-nonsense reels built for
hard work and sizeable fish. The multi-washer star drag makes use of Shimano’s
high performance Dartanium washers, which means the Toriums can cope with the
fastest runs from mackerel, kingfish, wahoo and tuna.
A die-cast
aluminium reel frame, aluminium side plates and spool means that the entire
Torium range make superb casting reels, and thanks to their light weight,
endless hours of repetitive casting is not a drama.
Super Stopper and
Assist Stopper remove any back play in the handle, while three of Shimano’s
patented A-RB bearings keep all the internals turning smoothly.
